Price it on the phone, from the technician's figures
The worksheet is a web page, so it runs on any phone with no install. Hours, rate, parts, markup, trip charge and tax rate go in on site; the labour, the marked-up parts, the tax and the total come out on the same screen, printed or saved as PDF from the browser.
Save it to the customer, not to the phone
In Pro, a saved work order lands against the customer with a status and a date. It follows the account rather than the device, so the office sees it as soon as the technician saves it, and a lost phone is not a lost job.
Move the status from the site
In progress when the work starts, done when it ends, with any extra parts or hours added on the same sheet and dated. The office invoices from the order as the technician left it, not from a phone call about what happened.
Work order app: common questions
Is there an app to install?
No. The worksheets and the Pro workspace are web pages that run in the phone's browser, so there is nothing to install, nothing to update and no app store account. Add the site to the home screen if you want an icon for it.
Does the work order app work offline?
The free worksheet needs a page load and then computes in the browser. Saving to Pro needs a connection at the moment of saving; a sheet priced on site without signal can be saved when the phone is back in range. Fully offline capture is not something Jobcardo does today.
Can each technician see only their own work orders?
Pro gives every technician a login on the same account, and the order list shows who has each order. Restricting a login to only its own orders is a permission we are asked about; tell us through the enquiry form and we will say where it stands.
