Every figure on this page is computed from the inputs entered, by the method stated below it. Jobcardo publishes no tax rate, no wage figure and no trade standard: the rate, the markup and the tax on the parts line are yours, and the defaults are a worked example to replace with your own figures.
Field service scheduling and dispatch is the board between the phone and the van: a job is raised, a technician is put on it in a slot, and the day is the list of jobs in the order the vans should drive them. Jobcardo's board is the same record as the work order, so putting a job on the board does not copy it anywhere, moving it moves the job, and the technician opens the same card the office priced. Every trade on this product uses the one board, in its own vocabulary.

Raise the job, then place it
A job is raised with the customer, the address and the price from the book. Placing it is a slot on a technician's day; the job card does not change, its date and its name do. A job with no slot is on the unscheduled list, which is the list the office works down first thing.
The day in driving order
Each technician's day is a list of jobs in the order they should be driven, with the address and the price on each. Moving a job moves its slot; the technician's phone shows the day as the office left it, and the office sees which job is open now.
Reschedule without re-typing
A job that runs over or a customer who is out is moved, not rewritten. The record keeps the original slot and the new one, dated, so the customer who was promised Tuesday and got Thursday has the history on the job when they ask.
Field service scheduling and dispatch: common questions
Is dispatch a separate product from the work order? No. The board and the work order are one record on this product; the section exists because the board is a feature every trade shares, not a trade of its own.
Does it plan the route? It keeps the day in the order you set and shows the addresses; it does not compute the route. The lawn care and landscaping pages describe how a recurring visit takes a position on the day.
Is scheduling priced separately? No. Scheduling and dispatch are part of every trade's plan on the pricing page; a trade pays its own price and the board comes with it.
